CASE STUDIES - Wireless Surveillance
A property management firm with an outdoor shopping center has an existing parking lot surveillance system. The system is isolated with no network access and administrators are required to go on-site in order to retrieve any security footage. Their goal was to proide Internet connectivity to their surveillance system for remote access. The challenge was that the building where the surveillance system was installed had no Internet connectivity available. The nearest Internet access was over 300 meters away.
Megaphat Networks proposed a solution that provides at least 350Mbps throughput with latency under 2ms that would provide ample bandwidth and access to the remote surveillance system. This solution would require 2 small Line of Sight antenna/radios to be installed, one at the surveillance site and one at the site with Internet access.
This solution can easily be upgraded to accomodate more bandwidth for more cameras or even an updated 1080p system with 25 or more cameras.
Similar systems can be deployed with multi-point network access for single and multiple camera installations on lamp posts with network backhaul to the surveillance system (Network Video Recorder).
